Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 2026 · Last updated: September 2026
Athlete Unsaid is committed to protecting the privacy of its Members and creating a community in which athletes can speak openly while understanding how their personal information is handled.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, who may receive it, how long we retain it, and the rights you may have in relation to your personal data.
It applies to athleteunsaid.com and the private Athlete Unsaid online community (together, the "Platform").
Athlete Unsaid is operated by:
Context Goods Trading LLC
Limited Liability Company
Licence No. 2643727.01

Context Goods Trading LLC is responsible for the processing of personal data described in this Privacy Policy and is referred to as "Athlete Unsaid", "we", "us" or "our".
Where applicable data-protection law uses the term "controller", Context Goods Trading LLC acts as the controller of your personal data.
Athlete Unsaid is built around private and, where chosen by the Member, pseudonymous participation. In particular, within the private community Platform:
We use privacy-friendly analytics on our public marketing website as described in Section 9. This is kept separate from, and does not extend to, activity within the private community, anonymous posts or private messages.
Anonymous to other Members does not mean anonymous to Athlete Unsaid. Where you use the Platform's anonymous participation functionality, your ordinary Member identity is hidden from other Members as described below. Athlete Unsaid retains the technical ability to associate anonymous activity with the underlying Member account for legitimate operational, moderation, security and legal purposes.
Athlete Unsaid is intended only for individuals aged 18 or older. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Platform.
We do not knowingly offer Membership to or intentionally collect personal data from individuals under 18 through the registration process.
If we become aware that an account has been created by a person who does not satisfy our age requirements, we may take appropriate steps to restrict or remove the account and associated personal data.
The personal data we process depends on how you use Athlete Unsaid.
When you register, we collect:
A real name is not required as part of the standard Athlete Unsaid registration process.
You may voluntarily add a name or other profile information later through your account settings. Information voluntarily added to your public profile may be visible to other Members.
Passwords are handled through the Platform's authentication system. We do not use your password for purposes unrelated to authentication and account security.
When you participate using your ordinary Member account, other Members may see information including:
We also process your posts, replies and other community interactions in order to provide and moderate the Platform. You should therefore consider carefully what information you include in your profile or posts.
Athlete Unsaid provides functionality allowing Members to participate without displaying their ordinary Member identity to other Members. When you use this functionality, other Members may see:
Your ordinary username and any voluntarily supplied real name are not displayed as the author identity through this anonymous functionality.
However, anonymous participation is pseudonymous rather than technically anonymous from Athlete Unsaid's perspective. Our systems retain the ability to associate anonymous activity with the underlying Member account.
Authorized Platform administration may access this association where reasonably necessary for:
We do not reveal the identity behind an anonymous contribution to other Members except where legally required or where otherwise permitted by applicable law in circumstances requiring protection of rights or safety.
The anonymous functionality is intended to hide your ordinary Member identity from other Members. It does not guarantee that separate contributions made through the same anonymous identity cannot be recognized as belonging to the same pseudonymous participant.
For example, a technical anonymous identifier may remain consistent or otherwise be recognizable within certain Platform interfaces.
You should also avoid including identifying information in the content of an anonymous post or message if you do not want other Members to infer your identity.
Where private messaging functionality is available, we process private messages in order to transmit, store and provide those communications.
Depending on Platform permissions, Members may also be able to communicate using an anonymous identity. In that case, the same principles described above for anonymous participation apply. A recipient may see the anonymous identity, relevant sport and level information and a technical anonymous identifier, but not the ordinary Member identity through the anonymous messaging interface.
Private messages are not public community posts. However, they are stored on infrastructure operated for Athlete Unsaid and should not be regarded as end-to-end encrypted communications that are technically inaccessible to the Platform operator.
Authorized access may occur where reasonably necessary for security, moderation, investigation of abuse, legal compliance or protection of Members.
Payments are processed by our payment service provider, Stripe. Stripe processes payment-card and related transaction information necessary to complete and manage your subscription. Athlete Unsaid does not ordinarily receive or store your complete payment-card number.
We may receive and retain information relating to your subscription and transaction, such as:
Payment processing is also subject to Stripe's own privacy practices.
When you use the Platform, technical information may be generated automatically, including:
We use this information primarily for Platform functionality, authentication, security, fraud and abuse prevention, troubleshooting and technical administration.
Athlete Unsaid is a mental-performance and peer-discussion community, not a healthcare service.
Members may nevertheless voluntarily disclose personal information in posts or messages concerning experiences such as performance anxiety, pressure, confidence, emotional reactions or other personal matters. Depending on its content and applicable law, information voluntarily disclosed by a Member may constitute sensitive or specially protected personal data.
We ask Members not to upload medical records, clinical documentation, diagnoses or unnecessary sensitive personal information to Athlete Unsaid.
Where a Member nevertheless voluntarily submits such information, we may process it to the extent necessary to provide the community functionality, moderate the Platform, protect Members, comply with law and respond appropriately to the content.
Athlete Unsaid is not intended to maintain medical or psychological health records.
We use personal data for the following purposes:
To create and maintain your account, authenticate you, provide Platform access, administer your subscription and deliver the services you request.
To display profiles, posts, replies, anonymous contributions and private messages and otherwise provide community functionality.
To operate the pseudonymous posting and messaging system while retaining the limited internal ability to associate activity with an account where necessary for legitimate moderation, security and legal purposes.
To administer subscriptions, determine payment status, deal with failed payments and maintain appropriate transaction records.
To investigate reports, enforce our Terms and Community Standards, prevent harassment and abuse and protect the integrity of Athlete Unsaid.
To secure accounts and infrastructure, identify suspicious activity, prevent unauthorized access and investigate misuse.
To send messages necessary to operate your account and Membership, including account, security, payment, moderation and service-related notifications.
To comply with applicable laws, enforce our legal rights, respond to lawful requests and maintain records where legally required.
We may use aggregated or genuinely de-identified information to understand how the community is used and to improve Athlete Unsaid. We may also identify general themes and insights arising from community discussions – for example, recurring performance challenges discussed by athletes – where those insights are aggregated or de-identified so that they cannot reasonably be linked to an identifiable Member.
We will not use identifiable private community contributions as public testimonials, case studies or marketing material without separate permission.
Different data-protection laws describe legal bases differently. Where the EU GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we generally rely on the following bases:
Performance of a contract: where processing is necessary to create and administer your Membership, provide Platform functionality, deliver community features or manage your subscription.
Legitimate interests: where processing is reasonably necessary to operate, secure and improve Athlete Unsaid, moderate the community, prevent fraud and abuse, protect Members and enforce our Terms, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.
Legal obligation: where processing is necessary to comply with laws, regulatory requirements, court orders, accounting requirements or other binding legal obligations.
Consent: where applicable law requires consent for a particular activity, such as certain marketing communications or particular processing of information voluntarily provided by you.
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw that consent as permitted by applicable law. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Where special-category or sensitive personal data is voluntarily provided, additional conditions required under applicable law will be considered where applicable.
Athlete Unsaid does not currently operate a separate marketing-email programme through the Membership registration process.
Platform notifications such as replies, account notifications, security messages, subscription communications and other operational emails are service communications rather than marketing communications.
If we introduce newsletters or other direct marketing in the future, we will implement any consent or opt-out mechanism required by applicable law and update this Privacy Policy where necessary.
Athlete Unsaid uses cookies and similar technical storage where necessary to operate the Platform. These may be used for purposes including:
We use Plausible Analytics to understand how visitors use the public Athlete Unsaid website and how they arrive there. This helps us measure website performance and the effectiveness of our marketing. We configure analytics to minimize the collection of personal data and do not use it to track Member activity within private community discussions, anonymous posts or private messages.
We do not currently use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar or similar third-party behavioural advertising or analytics tools on the Platform.
If we introduce non-essential analytics, advertising or similar tracking technologies beyond what is described above, we will update our disclosures and implement any consent mechanism required by applicable law before using them.
We do not sell Member data. We use a limited number of service providers to operate Athlete Unsaid.
The Athlete Unsaid community is self-hosted using server infrastructure provided by Hetzner, with the relevant server located in Germany. Hetzner provides infrastructure on which Platform and community data are stored and processed.
We use Mailgun for Platform email delivery, using its EU-region infrastructure where configured. Information necessary to deliver emails may therefore be processed by Mailgun.
We use Stripe for payment processing and subscription administration. Stripe processes payment and transaction information in accordance with its own privacy practices and applicable contractual arrangements.
We may disclose personal data where we reasonably believe disclosure is required by applicable law, a valid court order, regulatory requirement or lawful request from a competent authority. We may also disclose information where permitted by law and reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims or protect the rights, safety or security of Athlete Unsaid or another person.
If Athlete Unsaid or the relevant business is subject to a genuine merger, acquisition, restructuring or sale, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable privacy law and appropriate safeguards.
The Athlete Unsaid community uses Discourse software in a self-hosted configuration. The community is not operated through Discourse's standard hosted service.
Our use of the Discourse software does not by itself mean that the company behind Discourse has routine access to Athlete Unsaid Member data.
The Platform also uses custom functionality for anonymous participation.
Athlete Unsaid is operated by Context Goods Trading LLC in the United Arab Emirates and is available internationally.
Our principal community server infrastructure is located in Germany. Certain service providers may process information in other jurisdictions depending on the nature of their service and their infrastructure.
This means personal data may be processed in, accessed from or transferred between countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Germany and other jurisdictions in which our service providers lawfully operate.
Where applicable data-protection law requires specific safeguards for an international transfer, we will take appropriate measures required by that law.
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and for legitimate legal, operational, security, fraud-prevention, accounting and dispute-resolution requirements.
The appropriate retention period depends on the type of information and why it is held. In general:
We do not retain personal data indefinitely merely because it may be useful in the future.
Members may delete their account directly through the Platform's account settings where this functionality is available.
If self-service deletion is not available for your account, you may request deletion by contacting us at info@kristingrube.com.
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Personal data and associated content will be deleted or de-identified, subject to information that we are required or permitted to retain for legal, regulatory, security, fraud-prevention, accounting or dispute-resolution purposes.
Residual copies may remain temporarily in backups until overwritten through our normal backup cycle.
Where applicable law gives you a separate legal right to erasure, that right remains unaffected by the Platform's technical account-deletion functionality.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss or destruction.
These measures include controlled administrative access, authentication mechanisms, server and account security measures and limiting access to personal information according to operational need.
No internet service or storage system can guarantee absolute security. You should use a strong, unique password and protect your login credentials.
If we become aware of a personal-data breach, we will assess and address it in accordance with applicable law, including applicable notification requirements.
Access to Member-level administrative information is restricted.
At present, Athlete Unsaid is operated with a limited administrative structure and access to Member data is not provided to external developers or webmasters as part of routine Platform operation.
Infrastructure and service providers may have the technical ability to process information to the extent necessary to provide their respective services and subject to applicable contractual and legal obligations.
Administrative access to the relationship between an anonymous identity and the underlying Member account is reserved for legitimate moderation, security, safety and legal purposes.
Athlete Unsaid does not currently use Member posts, private messages or Member personal data in an integrated artificial-intelligence system for automated analysis or decision-making.
We do not currently use solely automated decision-making based on Member personal data to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning Members.
If we materially change how we use artificial intelligence or automated decision-making in relation to Member personal data, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide additional information or obtain consent where required by applicable law before introducing the relevant processing.
Your rights depend on the data-protection law applicable to you. Depending on your jurisdiction and the circumstances, you may have rights including the right to:
Some rights are subject to legal limitations and exceptions and do not apply in every circumstance.
To exercise a privacy right, contact info@kristingrube.com.
We may need to take reasonable steps to verify your identity before acting on a request in order to protect Member information from unauthorized disclosure or deletion.
We will respond in accordance with the time limits and requirements imposed by applicable law.
If the EU GDPR or UK GDPR applies to our processing of your personal data, you may have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection, subject to the requirements and exceptions of applicable law.
Where processing is based on our legitimate interests, you may have the right to object to that processing based on circumstances relating to your particular situation.
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection supervisory authority in the country where you live or work or where you believe a data-protection infringement occurred.
We encourage you to contact us first if you have a concern so that we have an opportunity to address it.
Context Goods Trading LLC is established in the United Arab Emirates. Our handling of personal data is therefore subject to applicable UAE privacy and data-protection requirements, including, where applicable, Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 Regarding the Protection of Personal Data.
UAE law establishes requirements concerning the processing and protection of personal data and provides individuals with rights in relation to their information.
Requests relating to your personal data may be submitted to info@kristingrube.com.
The Platform may contain links to websites or services operated by third parties.
This Privacy Policy does not govern independent websites or services operated by third parties. You should review their privacy information before providing personal data to them.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Athlete Unsaid, our technology, service providers, data-processing practices or applicable law.
The current version will be made available through the Platform.
Where a change materially affects how we use Member personal data, we will provide additional notice where required by applicable law.
We will not use previously collected personal data for a materially incompatible new purpose without taking the steps required by applicable data-protection law.
